Terms and Conditions
All goods shall remain the property of the owner, Elegantly Seated Limited.
Whilst the goods are on hire, the client has the sole responsibility for all goods hired and shall be responsible for the goods from the time of acceptance until the goods have been collected or returned.
The owner will not be responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property, however sustained, arising from the goods hired.
A £100.00 non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. A £50 non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking for single hire for only sashes, runners, napkins, table linen (without chair covers). Until this payment is received all inquiries and requests will be deemed provisional.
We obtain the right to charge an additional fee if necessary for order below 25.
Our set ups and collections within Hertfordshire are free however we obtain the right to charge mileage outside of this area.
Final payment is due 28 days prior to the event. Non payment by this time will result in cancellation of the booking.
Cancellation must be advised, in writing, 8 weeks prior to the event.
The following charge will be made for each unreturned item or item returned in an unusable condition.

One type of chair cover will b e provided per venue, if a mixture of chairs will be used at the same event then an additional charge may be payable and we require a minimum of 8 weeks notice or we cannot guarantee full coverage and available stock.
If a venue has more than one chair type/size then you will be asked to confirm which type will be required to be covered - any change must be advised 8 weeks prior to the event or will cannot guarantee that the stock will be available.
Any booking requiring us to source a colour match must provide a swatch at least 10 weeks before the event to guarantee an adequate turn around time to source, obtain your approval and order required stock. As the swatch fabrics received are then sourced in different fabrics - i.e. Organza and Satin there will be a slight contrast in colour/ match as they are different fabrics. Therefore we cannot guarantee 100% match as the fabric base is different. In the unlikely event that the results we offer are not satisfactory then we would offer a full refund of the deposit paid.
Chair covers are hired for one day, unless otherwise specified, and should be available for collection the following day at the event venue or elsewhere by prior agreement between the hirer and the owner. Should they not be ready for collection and a separate visit is required an administration fee of £50 will be charged
We will happily change numbers to an event but must have final numbers 28 days prior to the event. Any decrease in numbers made with less than 28 days will not be eligible for a refund. Any increase in numbers is chargeable at the pre agreed rate.
It is the responsibility of the client to verify that the published details, dates, times, numbers, colours and chosen fabrics are correct on the booking confirmation letter.
Any details not fully completed on the booking confirmation letter are the responsibility of the client.
Understanding is given to delays in deciding a colours scheme which is acceptable but the client must inform elegantly seated in writing of all missing or updated details 8 weeks prior to the event.
A £50 holding deposit is added to the final balance and is payable 28 days prior to the event. This is held until all stock is returned and in a usable condition. Assuming no goods are damaged or missing the £50 damage deposit will be returned within 14 days after the event. The holding deposit will also be used to cover any late increase in numbers after the balance has been paid - but must be advised prior to the event and at such late stage no guarantees can be made above a 5% increase in pre agreed numbers. If upon arrival there has been an over sight in numbers i.e. - the registrars chairs have been overlooked or the civil ceremony room is laid out in equal rows then we would cover them in conjunction with the venue rather than leave the odd chair uncovered (up to a maximum of 3 covers which would be chargeable)
No responsibility will be accepted for restrictions relating to access to the location/venue. The owner will make every effort to deliver /collect and set up in accordance with the agreed arrangements; however will not accept liability if times/ dates / entry cannot be completed due to conditions beyond our control.
Elegantly Seated can offer recommendations regarding colours of covers / fabrics / colours of sashes to be used and other decorative ideas, however Elegantly Seated accepts no responsibilities if items are not to the clients personal taste and will not guarantee matching to other fabrics/colours included in the event that are not supplied by ourselves.
Bookings are accepted only on the understanding that the client understands and accepts the above terms and conditions and payment of the deposit signifies such acceptance.
